Create a path, it’ll be okay

No, it’ll all end one day.

Bliss awaits, if you choose to see

I don’t want anything, let me be.

I’m comfortable in misery

I said…

She bottled sunshine for me before she went away,

it was to be opened when my skies turned gray.

Her note read, You’ll never forget me

let my light illuminate your path,

let my warm embrace uncover your peace.

I did,

when my created path skewed,

life hanging by a thread…

Bottled sunshine veiled beneath layers of dust

hopeful hands twist the lid

its insides shimmer.

I open, taken by a warm light

on a lit path

to peace

with my deceased.
