What Did Mom Do?

I told you, son,

don’t eat all that candy, or you’ll get sick.

Don’t eat all those fire chips, or you’ll get sick.

Don’t drink all that pink lemonade, or you’ll get sick.

But Mom, you bought it.

He ate them, drank it, and got sick, hovered over bowl at o-dark-thirty.

“I find the mother guilty!”

The Honorable Pantry, Judge of the Kitchen Court, declares.

“No more chips, no more sweets.”

Think, Kristen, think—that junk isn’t cheap.

Don’t blow health on garbage sugar treats.

very good poem! the message to me is that “Temptation Consumes” and “They Are Not Cheap”. I like the Mother and Son in the poem. the former can be the rule in your life, but you have follow it with your own judgement. the son is a role that the reader can relate to anyone….. Love the poem!

You can’t blame a kid for being a kid, and when it comes to junk food, kids’ eyes are always bigger than their stomachs. Therefore I must concur with the findings of the Kitchen Court. Off to Mom-Jail with you…unless you agree to 100 hours community service (cleaning the boys toilets at school) and paying off the fine in garbage sugar treats.

“Kristen” did that! Not me! Haha!
I choose Mom-Jail. I’ll find the Alpha Mom there, use her connections, overthrow her after various schemes and escape.

Switching the “r” and “i” postions and wearing the joke glasses with the fake nose can’t conceal your true identity. I know your spots, leopard!

that is where the smartness of the writer of this post: The Kristen in question is a He. Therefore our beloved writer Kristen is free from those weakness, and She is flawless…

And here I am, secretly yearning for fire chips…and a tall, frosty mug of root beer… Life is so unfair! 😀

So this is based on true events
    Fun read.

Haha yeah! I think I may have manifested this by assuming he would get sick in the first place. Perhaps that is where the saying “Mother Knows Best” or “Mom Is Always Right” comes from? We just jinx the kids! 😅

        You are right!
        Moms are always right 😃
What do you suggest me to read next?
        Please guide 🙏🏼
