Slip Into Somewhere

I’m in love with writing
My mind drifts off
a runaway from Earth
Slip into somewhere, another dimension
where existence is tranquil
or bittersweet
That’s the balance, I think
Here, I’m an operator of a space floor
twisting stars into souls
shot across the universe
to sail on or simply exist
inside endless nothing
Dip my hand inside
take a sphere — no one’s looking
for this watery one
I’ll do what I want with it…
You know what I mean,
writing fiction

I’m not a fiend.

Wonderful stuff, Kirsten. And that last line! 😀 I really liked this part:

    for this watery one
    I’ll do what I want with it…

Such a fun way of looking at fiction writing. 🙂

  5. I’m sure writing fiction is definitely a great experience. I wish I can do that. But, I somehow manage to write a blog. I like to write health blogs. Although, it’s not that creative, but fun for me.
Hey Kirsten, you are a beautiful writer.
You write very beautifully. I’m loving your work and I love everything you share.
I read your poems multiple times, because it gives me satisfaction and deep happiness.
    Please keep sharing.

Aww thank you! I’m happy my writing can make you feel good inside. That’s awesome, I really appreciate that, Devang. 🙂

I feel blog writing can be creative too, and it is extremely informative and inspiring. You’re lucky you can write blogs. I don’t do so well, haha. I had a lifestyle blog once, but quickly lost interest because I felt like I was just writing parenting stuff when I wanted to write about ghosts and weird things.

      1. Ghost and weird things makes you unique! 😊
I mean, there are so many poet here. But, your work makes you special.
Also, as you are a mom. I would love to see a blog from your side to guide new moms. 😀
        Ghost moms maybe??

That’s funny! Haha my biggest advice to first time mom’s would be to find a closet you feel comfortable in that is adequate to hold your screams when things get too tough. That way there’s a place for your frustrations instead of the child feeling those frustrated vibes. 🤣

      3. Hmmm that’s interesting.
Moms have to go through a lot.
        Sadly, they can’t complain 😐
